Our Registered Objectives

  • To support the social, cultural, educational, and economic development of the Somali Canadian community in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
  • To facilitate the integration and inclusion of newcomers, immigrants, and refugees by providing settlement support, orientation programs, and community advocacy.
  • To provide educational programs, training, and workshops that enhance skills development, employment readiness, leadership, and youth empowerment.
  • To promote cultural awareness, diversity, and intercultural understanding through community events, cultural activities, and public education initiatives.
  • To support the well-being of families, youth, seniors, and vulnerable individuals through community-based programs, referrals, and partnerships with relevant service providers.
  • To collaborate with government bodies, non-profit organizations, and community stakeholders to address community needs and promote social cohesion.
  • To carry out fundraising and resource development activities in support of the Society's objectives, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
